Pastor Ken Wert

Pastor Ken Wert is from the small town of Bucyrus, Ohio. He had the privilege of growing up in a Christian home. His parents had been raised Methodist and Presbyterian, but soon after they were married they heard the gospel and realized they were lost. They trusted Christ as Saviour and were baptized in a Baptist church just before Brother Ken was born. His parents took him and his sisters to church faithfully, and he believed on Christ for salvation at a young age.

 

After graduating from high school, Bro. Wert met his wife Shellie and began attending her church, Calvary Bible Baptist Church in Marion, Ohio, where her father is pastor.  Bro. Ken and Shellie were married in 1995.  Bro. Wert has been serving the Lord at Calvary for many years, first as a volunteer and then full time on staff since 2003. He is now the associate pastor. Bro. Ken and his wife have two sons, two daughters, one son-in-law, and one grandson, for all of whom they are truly thankful.
